On April 11, 2018, the House State Government Committee held a voting meeting on HB 722. An amendment was proposed that guts HB 722 and gives even more power to legislators. It passed.
On March 27, Senate Bill 22 was considered in the Senate State Government Committee, along with three other redistricting reform bills.
Three of the 14 California commissioners gave of their own time to share the message: average citizens, working together, can create fairer, more responsive district maps.

As we’ve said from the start: we need an independent redistricting commission with real opportunities for public input and strong safeguards for transparency.

The PA Supreme Court found that our Congressional district map “clearly, plainly and palpably violates the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.”
All of Clinton County’s 29 municipalities, as well as its County Commissioners, have now passed resolutions supporting legislation that would end partisan gerrymandering in Pennsylvania.
