Local artist and designer, Katie Blumberh, is partnering with ColorSpace Labs to host a silent art auction on Friday, October 7th in their space in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia.
The theme of the auction is Dissonance: What it feels like to live in a country that, at times, actively works against your interests. Art pieces will focus on a particular political issue or seek to capture the feeling of being unheard, displaced, or uncertain about the future.
Proceeds will be donated to the ACLU and to Fair Districts PA, a non-profit working to fight partisan gerrymandering in the state.
If you are or know an artist who would be interested in donating a piece feel free to pass along this information, or reach out to Katie at firstname.lastname@example.org or 410.253.9210
If you aren’t the creative type, mark your calendar for October 7th and come buy local art in support of a worthy cause.
