Advocacy postcards are a visible reminder to legislators that PA voters want redistricting reform.
A flood of postcards on a single issue can capture a legislators’ attention. The more the better, and the more personal the better.
You can order cards (for free) from Fair Districts PA or use old local postcards or photos that show places and people you care about.
Add your personal message on the back, then mail or hand deliver them to your legislators’ district office.
2. Write to your legislators’ and legislative leaders’ district offices. On the back, include:
A salutation with the proper title (Representative or Senator)
A request that they cosponsor House Bill 31 or Senate Bill 131 (if they haven’t) or that they help get the bill a vote (for legislators who have already cosponsored and for legislative leaders).
A very short statement of why this matters to YOU.
Your name and address (or just city and zip code). Legislators want to know you’re constituents of their district or state.
3. Send or hand deliver to your local legislator’s district office.
Click the “legislator look up”button to find your legislators, their address, and co-sponsor info.
4. Send postcards to legislative leaders asking them to give the bill a vote (mailing addresses below).
Take some photos and share them. Take photos of completed cards, or of folks working on cards, and share them on social media along with a link to this page to encourage others to do the same. Send photos and a brief update about your party to communications@fairdistrictspa.com
