Keystone Crossroads just released photo journalist Lindsay Lazarski’s informative essay about redistricting in Pennsylvania: Dividing Lines: How Pennsylvania’s elections really are rigged.
She tracked the lines around PA’s most gerrymandered districts, 6, 7 and 16, visiting families in Reading, talking to civic leaders who described the way divided communities undercut real representation.
She spoke with allies in the work for reform, both legislative leaders and representatives of advocate organizations, including Carol Kuniholm of Fair Districts PA and David Thornburgh of Committee of 70.
She also gathered opinions from party leaders who support and are held in power by the current system.
Read it, share it, comment on it. And join us in the uphill battle for reform.
