Call A PA Senator: Pass Redistricting Reform for Real Election Integrity

URGENT: Make a call today. District lines drawn this year will affect the next 10 years.

PA voters have been asking for redistricting reform for years. Time is short to pass the Legislative and Congressional Redistricting Act (LACRA) Senate Bill 222. LACRA will make sure the redistricting process is more transparent, that public engagement is welcomed and that clear, measurable map drawing standards are used.

Tell our PA senators to stop focusing on non-existent voter fraud, stop pushing dangerous and false narratives and instead pass redistricting reform for real election integrity.

Remember: Nothing changes unless this changes!

Ready to get started? Follow these steps:

1. Find your State Senator

Use the drop-down list to find your senator and get their contact info. You will also be able to view their prior position on past redistricting reform, if any. You can also see if they are co-sponsoring this year’s legislation.

Key: Current co-sponsor = supports SB 222

If you do not know their name or district number you can use the PA General Assembly locator tool to find your PA Senator.

2. Use these sample talking points to prepare your script:

If they have not co-sponsored: ask them why not?

Hello. My name is [give your full name]. I live in [name of city/town/boro]. I’m calling to ask Sen. [last name] to support and co-sponsor Senate Bill 222. This bill has the bi-partisan support of 25 senators, including 6 Republicans and 18 Democrats.

If they have co-sponsored:

Three legislative leaders have the power to make sure SB 222 gets a vote in committee and on the floor of the senate. They need to hear from as many of us as possible so they know people across PA care about this issue.

Call the Senate Majority Committee Chair, David Argall. He controls the committee agenda and can move this bill forward for a vote.

One of the co-sponsors is my own senator. My senator can not represent me if bills that they support are not allowed a vote. Give SB 222 a vote in committee. Just five more minutes will make a big difference:

Consider calling Senate Pro Tempore Jake Corman and Senate Majority Leader Kim Ward - use the same script. Together they control the Senate agenda and have a final say on what bills are given a vote.
