Event Description

Fair Districts PA Volunteers will be tabling at Kipona over Labor Day Weekend.

Kipona means “on sparkling water” and tradition suggests that was the name the Susquehannock and Shawanese nations gave the Susquehanna River.

It’s now a three-day event along the riverfront in Harrisburg, with a Native American Pow-Wow, drums, fireworks, live music stage, Family Fun Zone, Artist Market, tightrope walkers above the Susquehanna River, food trucks, beer/wine garden, and much more.

Since Harrisburg is at the heart of PA, there are Pennsylvanians from multiple counties who show up to eat, explore and enjoy the many blocks of vendors and activities.

Volunteers from all parts of PA are welcome.
