Event Description

The Lawrence County League of Women Voters is hosting a public education program on prison gerrymandering in Pennsylvania. Speakers from the Abolitionist Law Center, Free the Ballot and Fair Districts PA will explain PA’s current process and they will demonstrate how prison gerrymandering takes representation away from impacted communities. The speakers will discuss legislation in Harrisburg and solutions available to the Legislative Reapportionment Commission.

Fair Districts PA is a non-partisan coalition of citizens and organizations seeking to reform PA redistricting rules by ensuring that the process is impartial, transparent, and accountable.
