March Toward Transparency: LACRA Next Steps Town Hall

Event Description

Fair Districts PA is dedicating the month of March to March Toward Transparency: personal meetings with PA state legislators to explain the need for fast action on the redistricting transparency bill, House Bill 22 and Senate Bill 222: the Legislative and Congressional Redistricting Act (LACRA).

We will kick the month off with a LACRA Next Steps Town Hall on March 3 at 4PM. This town hall will prepare you to meet with your own legislators as part of a local advocacy team. We’ll provide talking points about LACRA and suggest ways to share your own story about why fair maps matter to you and your community.

Many of our volunteers had never met with their legislators before joining our movement. Some are now advocacy experts! You can become one too.

You’ll hear from FDPA Advocacy Advisors, Legislative Director, one or two legislators, and some FDPA volunteers new to advocacy but encouraged and empowered by what they’ve learned.
