Event Description
The York County Federation of Democratic Women is hosting a public education Zoom program on reforming Pennsylvania’s redistricting process. Fair Districts PA speaker Debbie Trudeau will explain PA’s current redistricting process, demonstrate how it undermines democracy, and then offer a solution to the problem.
In addition, Debbie will explore how unfair procedural rules have blocked popular bi-partisan legislation such as redistricting reform bills from moving forward. She will demonstrate how these unfair rules game the system, silence debate and damage democracy. Suggestions for how individuals and groups can advocate for change will be included and there will be plenty of time for questions and answers.
Fair Districts PA is a non-partisan coalition of citizens and organizations seeking to reform PA redistricting rules by ensuring that the process is impartial, transparent, and accountable.
