For nine years now, Pittsburgh area activist Maren Cooke’s monthly Sustainability Salons remain a great resource for anyone
interested in learning more about critical issues facing our communities, state, country and the world, from sustainability
to racial justice to environmentalism and good government.
Her January Salon will include a presentation by Fair Districts PA speaker Doug Webster on proposals to create Judicial voting districts for judges on Pennsylvania’s three highest courts and just what those proposals mean for the independence of our judges and potential increases in political divisiveness and the influence of big money.
This month’s virtual Salon (via Zoom) is open to all who are interested in learning about this important subject. FDPA’s place on
the speaking agenda Saturday is still being finalized but will likely be between 4 and 5 PM with a roughly 20 minute presentation
and time for Q&A.
To sign up and join the Salon, SEND AN EMAIL TO maren.cooke@gmail.com AND INCLUDE THE WORD SALON IN THE SUBJECT LINE.
