Line in the Streetis a new film about Gerrymandering, and the state constitutional lawsuit which redrew all 18 congressional voting districts in Pennsylvania in 2018-a landmark case which held that partisan redistricting violates the general principles of Pennsylvania’s State Constitution.

The recent SCOTUS decision held that gerrymander reform is non justiciable under federal law, but it is justiciable under state law –Pennsylvania’s State Supreme Court proved that in 2018.

Unlike any other film on the subject, Line in the Streettells the story of successful gerrymander reform from a state’s rights point of view. It is the story of heroes and villains in a struggle for representative government.

Line in the Street is being screened by The League of Women Voters in Pennsylvania, and the League of Women Voters in North Carolina. It is also being screened by the Schwarzenegger Institute at USCas part of a course on U.S. government this fall.

Line in the Street has already been selected for inclusion by the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival, and the Pittsburgh Independent Film Festival.
